blue square dot Brian Wilson has signed a two-album deal with Walt Disney Records' Pearl label. The first album will be covers of tunes crafted by the early-20th century music legends George and Ira Gershwin. Brian has also been granted permission by the Gershwin estate to complete two of George Gershwin's unfinished compositions, in a unique collaboration. The second album will be an album of Brian's versions of Disney classic tunes. More details can be found on Brian's website. (updated 10/8/09)

blue square dot The Surf City AllStars have released their latest CD called Acoustic Vibrations, which features their own acoustic versions of Beach Boys tunes, with some special guest vocalists. Alan and Matt Jardine are featured singing lead and background on many of the tracks. David Marks and Dean Torrence sing lead as well on a couple of tracks. blue square dot Capitol/EMI will reiussue The Beach Boys' Sunflower and Surf's Up albums on vinyl, as part of their “From the Capitol Vaults” series on June 16th. Pet Sounds has also been reissued on 24k gold plate CD in a remix sourced from the original analog mix, on Audio Fidelity. (3/11/09)

The DVD features a full-length live performance of the album, documentary, and behind-the-scenes footage from the album's recording sessions, and some of Brian's recently filmed promotional performances and interviews (Yahoo!
